ECO-IVF Pregnancy Rate
The ECO-IVF pregnancy rate represents ongoing
clinical pregnancies that were signed out into Ob-care. Please note, a comparison
of clinical success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics
and treatment approaches may vary from clinic to clinic. The listed pregnancy
outcomes reflect ongoing clinical pregnancy rates and not delivered pregnancies.
The pregnancy rates are calculated as a percentage of embryos transferred, and
not as a percentage per cycles started. Delivered pregnancy rates will be somewhat
lower than clinical pregnancy rates; and percentages, based on number of cycles
started, will be lower than rates based on the number of egg retrievals performed.
ECO-IVF Clinical Pregnancy Rate/Per Transfer (January 2009 through June
2009)
COMMENTS
ECO-IVF represents a fresh IVF cycle with only minimal stimulation.
The concept of ECO-IVF is based on offering a minimal stimulation cycle to young
women with normal age-specific ovarian function at extremely low cost. Pregnancy
rates are again reported per embryo transfer.
INTERPRETATION
Such carefully selected patients, even with mild stimulation and,
therefore, small egg and embryo numbers, will still achieve good pregnancy rates, as these
data demonstrate.
